"Creation Location" is an image of my studio that is a BLACKLINE print using etching inks printed from a single hand carved basswood plate, on an etching press, requiring 32 colours. Each of the colours were hand painted on the plate and them passed through the press to get a transfer of colour. For example the rock wall and steps were hand painted 2 colours at one time and them printed. Not all the rocks were painted at one time. It took 3 passes throught the press to complete the area. The brown of the earth was printed twice, as was the wall of my studio. The three dots on the bottom of the plate are the registration pins.
